The Review:

We all hoped and prayed that the 1993 edition of the Friday the 13th tale would be the ninth and final installment, after all the title for the film was Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. But then came the success of the Scream series and some producer figured they could bring back Jason from the dead like in a bad soap opera and make some money. So here we go again with the same story, but this time in space with even more special effects.

The story goes like this, Jason never dies, so he kills more stupid people. Of course this is just like most horror films, but without the good comedy that made Screams 1, 2, & 3 successful. This time the stupid people are in the year 2400 something and nobody lives on Earth anymore. Some college kids and their professor (Jonathan Potts) discover a cryogenically frozen Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) and as a bonus another frozen person in Rowan (Lexa Doig), who is the person who was able to freeze Jason. These two are transported back to the main spaceship with plans to return to Earth II. Of course things go terrible wrong and “Evil Gets An Upgrade” when Jason gets rebuilt with artificial pieces parts and keeps on killing in space.

This James Isaac directed film was written by Todd Farmer, who was also in the film as Dallas. The rest of the main cast are Lisa Ryder, Chuck Campbell (from Angel Eyes), Peter Mensah, Melody Johnson, Melyssa Ade, Boyd Banks, and Derwin Jordan.

The only good parts of the film are the soundtrack and the special effects, which are nice, but certainly do not make for a good movie. The only other saving grace of the film are the breast shots of some of the hot young actresses. To conclude, crappy ass movie that gets just three couches.

Later.
