The Review:

You saw the trailers and thought it might be like Scary Movie. Well you would be half right since Not Another Teen Movie is stupid like Scary Movie, but not all that funny. Sure there are some good laughs, but most of them are at the beginning of the flick making a good portion of the remainder very boring. Now a brief (very brief) word about the plot.

Basically the plot is She’s All That with Chyler Leigh as the unpopular chick and Chris Evans as the rich popular jock. From there it is just one parody after another thrown into a movie. Just about every teen focused movie from the 80s forward is represented from The Breakfast Club, Risky Business and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in the 80s to Bring It On, Road Trip, Never Been Kissed, Cruel Intentions, Almost Famous, Can’t Hardly Wait, and even American Beauty in more recent times. Plus you can throw in cameos by Mr. T, Molly Ringwald and Melissa Joan Hart.

Not Another Teen Movie is horribly directed by Joel Gallen, though honestly some of the credit should go to the writers Michael G. Bender and Adam Jay Epstein. Others in the cast of this stupid film are Jaime Pressly (Joe Dirt), the hot Mia Kirshner, Eric Christian Olsen, Deon Richmond, Ron Lester, Cerina Vincent as the always nude foreign exchange student Areola, Eric Jungmann, Samm Levine, and Randy Quaid as the crazy father who like beer and apple pie. Of course this is just a few of those who were in the movie, but listing any more would give too much space to a movie that doesn’t deserve it.

You can probably infer from what was already stated, this film is not that good. So I give it just two couches, one for the nudity, the other for the couple of good laughs at the beginning. Final analysis: Very stupid, but a few good laughs at the beginning. Adios.
