Crap Crap Crap. No that's not the name of the film I'm about to blast, but rather what I thought of it, or one of the many things I would have rather been doing. The George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, romance drama picture Out of Sight should, with any luck, do just that, go out of sight. This pathetic attempt by Universal at drama and romance had little of either. And unlike Clooney's surprise hit From Dusk Till Dawn, there is hardly any action and relatively little violence. The premise is that Clooney's character Jack Foley is a bank robber who escapes from prison and Jennifer Lopez's character falls in love chasing him. Yadda, yadda, yadda, boring, boring, boring. I was at least hoping to get some laughs out of the movie, but no, the laughs are way to few and far between. Of course the only thing left to hope for would to be see Lopez in the buff, but yet again denied. But women you do get to see George topless. This Danny DeVito produced and Steven Soderbergh piece of slop wasn't even worth the three bucks I spent. I mean I almost fell asleep several times, and it was only two in the afternoon. The only other people in the theatre, all four of them, were old farts with nothing better to do. I mean I could have been swatting flies and still had more fun and excitement, which by the way have you ever spent an evening swatting flies, talk about fun. Anyway back to the movie. None of the actors had memorable performances in the cast that included Ving Rhames, Dennis Farina, and Albert Brooks. This movie blew chunks and I want my money back. Awhile back I thought Hope Floats sucked, but compared to Out of Sight it was a masterpiece. So to finally end Out of Sight's misery and put this review to bed I'll proclaim it the worst movie of 1998, at least so far and out of the movies I've seen, and give it half a couch for the Out & About rating. The only reason it gets half a couch is because I got to see Lopez in her undies. For the Out & About movie review I'm Mike Stevens, now back to the show.
