The Review:

Boo. Did I scare you? Didn't think so. Well that's about the substance of Jennifer Love Hewett's latest film, the sequel to the hit I Know What You Did Last Summer. The title of this year's edition, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, how creative. On the bright side there probably won't be a third installment of this thriller flick. Hello everyone I am Robin McFetridge here with the Out & About review of Jennifer, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Brandi, don't call me Moesha, Norwood in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, or I Still Know for short. And as you may have already guessed from the sarcasm, I don't hold this film in high regards. So no, as the tagline goes, I didn't get hooked again. This Columbia Pictures movie is rated R for the limited gore, and is directed by Danny Cannon, who directed one of everyone's favorite movies, Judge Dredd. As for this story, Julie James wins a trip to the Bahamas with her three good friends, well actually its Julie's roommate Brandi that wins the tickets. Anyway they go to this remote island resort on the last day of the season, also the one-year anniversary of the original car accident. Freddie Prinze Jr. does not make the trip due to a run in with the fisherman on his way to Julie's place. Now that Julie and company are on the island, the resort staff starts to turn up dead, one-by-one. Now the plot thickens as we find out one of the four college friends is in cahoots with the evil fisherman with a hook. Then the question becomes, will good old dependable Ray get to the island in time? Well of course he does, it's a Hollywood movie. This film was fairly tame, which rhymes with lame, which is another good term to use when describing I Still Know. The acting wasn't special, the body count was only about seven, and the story is old and tired. There was little suspense, and no real scares. All in all the movie wasn't half as good as the first, and only one tenth of what Scream is. I didn't like it much and am glad I only paid a buck fifty to get in. One last set of info, Mathew Settle plays Will Benson, Muse Watson is the fisherman, and Mekhi Phifer is Brandi's horny boyfriend. As for the Out & About rating of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, I give it one couch out of ten. I have been Robin McFetridge for the Out & About Movie Review, goodbye.
