The Review:

Well hello peoples, I'm Mike Stevens and this is the Out & About movie review of Blade. This movie is another adaptation of a Marvel Comics comic book series starring Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff, and Kris Kristofferson as Whislter. Snipes of course is Blade, a buffed vampire slayer that is part ma, part vampire, you see his mommy was bitten by a vampire just before giving birth to Blade so Snipes character inherited some vampire attributes. The story starts off in a nightclub in New York were a whole bunch of vampires are getting ready for a blood bath, literally. Blood starts raining from sprinklers and all the fanged ones start going crazy when all of a sudden Blade appears with twelve tiny reindeer. Well actually there are no reindeer, nor any nudity, but there is a hell of a lot of blood and death. Imagine that blood and death in a vampire movie, go figure. Anyway the movie also has a fair amount of action, plenty of special effects, and a little bit of humor. Now I may be biased but I didn't really care much for the movie, but that might be because I don't like vampire, or werewolf, or any other supernatural based movies, with the exception of Ghostbusters. You see I don't think these creatures exist outside of fairy tales, and as such make for pointless movies. I don't like pointless movies. I cause the point of this movie was to make some money with lots of special effects, lots of blood and gore, and plenty of kick but action, and the movie does deliver this, but not much else. If you're looking for comedy, romance, plot, character development, and a believable story then watch something like Goodwill Hunting. By unbelievable I mean the story doesn't always make sense, for instance Snipes warns Karen, played by N'Bushe Wright, that vampires are everywhere and that she can't really hide from them, but it takes the vampires a long time to find Blade's hideout, an old warehouse. What's more is that there's no secret entrance like Batman has to get in. I guess Blade is special and even though he's the vampires number one enemy, they can't find him or his hideout. As you might have suspected I didn't really like the movie that much, but it wasn't horrible. So for the Out & About rating of Blade I give it three couches and a silver bullet, not the Coors Light variety. For the Out & About movie review I am Mike Stevens, see ya next time.
