Six Days, Seven Nights. Six minutes, seven seconds, that's about how much of the film I actually liked. Not that I hated the rest of the movie, but it certainly was not as good as Harrison Ford's (Air Force One) Sabrina film a few years back. Welcome back to the Out & About Movie Review, I am your review dude Mike Stevens for this week's review of ford and Anne Heche in the romantic comedy Six Days, Seven Nights. Also in the film is Friends' David Schwimmer (Apt Pupil) who plays Heche's boyfriend turned fiancée. Now I have nothing against lesbians, and in fact like most men I find them quite titillating and erotic, but it was hard to believe in Heche and Ford's gradual falling in love with each other. This PG Ivan Reitman directed Disney film did have some funny spots like when Schwimmer took Harrison's girlfriend back to her hut and when Heche was wacked out on tranquilizers. But for the most part the film was ho hum, same old, same old. The story goes like this: Schwimmer proposes to Heche, who is a fashion magazine editor, who then fly off together to Tahiti on a vacation so they can spend some quality time together; Tahiti isn't the final destination so they have to take Ford's charter plane to a smaller island further away, which is the final destination; Then Heche has to fly off to a photo shoot for her magazine on short notice and is forced to have Ford fly her back to Tahiti; But on the way they hit a storm that forces them to crash land on a small uninhabited island. So that it's a little like Gilligand's Island (minus the Skipper and Ginger), and even has some pirates. OK its finally time for the Out & About rating, which will be three couches out of a possible ten on the rating scale. So for the Out & About Movie Review, I have been, and always hope to be, Mike Stevens.
