Review:

"The World is Not Enough," directed by Michael Apted and starring Pierce Brosnan as the agent 007 Bond, James Bond, is more than enough for me.

I was very proud of the fact that I had never seen a Bond movie before that one.  Why did I choose not to go to Bond movie?  What could be lamer than an action/spy adventure movie that stopped to have the male lead have sex with many provocatively named women as they could get into one movie?  I know what is lamer, another Bond movie.  Just what does all that sex have to do with the plot of any of those movies?  I know, nothing, nothing but an attempt to get more men into the movies.

This movie contains a lot of wonderful explosions, senseless violence, chase scenes and cool cars.  All these are aspects of a fun movie.  So why ruin it with gratuitous sex and forced comic innuendoes.

It almost appears like Bond is tired of sleeping with every woman with a pulse, to get the job done.  He is just going through the motions or maybe Brosnan is just not a believable, sexy character.  He is attractive but he can't go the distance.

This movie bored me.  There could not have been enough recycled explosions, tired old chase scenes or gunfire to rejuvenate this, been there, done that story.  To make matters worse, I did not get to see Brosnan's butt.  If by chance I did see it, I was so bored with the plot or should I say lack of a plot that I could have missed even full frontal nudity, trying to stay alert.

I do not recommend this flick, even for the explosion value.

I give this movie one and a half couches out of 10, only because I liked his BMW.
